About Me

I’m Jonny Reid, a fitness coach and personal trainer from Dundonald, Northern Ireland. I’m 32 now, but my journey started long before coaching ever became my career. I began lifting weights at 14, and by 17 I was already a qualified personal trainer. At 18, I stepped on stage for my first bodybuilding competition, and that opened the door to years of competing, winning titles, and working with some of the most respected fitness photographers in the industry.

Those early experiences shaped me into the coach I am today - someone who lives and breathes training, and who has spent nearly two decades learning, refining, and mastering the process of physical transformation.

Coaching isn’t just a job for me. It’s something I’ve been immersed in my entire life. I’ve been fortunate to help countless people change their bodies, build confidence, and develop a deeper understanding of how to train properly. Whether it’s online coaching or 1-1 personal training, that passion hasn’t changed.

What I specialise in

I’m not a “general” fitness coach, I specialise in the areas where proper guidance makes all the difference:

Fat Loss & Body Recomposition

  • This is the foundation of long-term, sustainable change.
  • Helping clients lose body fat while maintaining or even building muscle.

Muscle Gain & Strength Development

Technique-led training that prioritises execution, progression, and safety while actually building quality muscle.

Expert Form & Technique Coaching

  • Correct lifting matters. Whether online or in-person, I teach clients how to train, not just what to do.
  • If you don’t know how to execute movements properly, you’re always leaving results on the table.

Support for GLP-1 Users (Ozempic, Mounjaro, Retatrutide)

If you’re using or considering GLP-1 medication, proper training and nutrition become even more important.

My role is to help you:

  • Maintain muscle
  • Avoid under-eating
  • Build strength
  • Develop healthy, sustainable habits
  • Train safely and effectively

I do not prescribe or advise where to obtain medication, that’s your doctor’s role.
My job is to guide you safely through the process and protect your results.

Who I work best with

I’m a straight-talking, no-BS coach. I work best with clients who want to learn, show up, and put in the effort required to change.  I don't mind if you're a beginner, a 20+ year gym veteran or anyone in between.  As long as you're giving it your best and are willing to learn, I'm here for you.

If you’re here for quick fixes, shortcuts, or minimal effort, I’m not the coach for you.

I work with people who:

Want to understand how to train properly
Are committed to improving their physical and mental wellbeing
Are ready to be held accountable
Want structure, education, and clarity
Value honest feedback and coaching that actually teaches them something

During 1-1 training sessions, I coach a lot of people who simply want a proper, hard training session they can’t achieve on their own. If you want to be pushed safely, coached intelligently, and taught correct form, you’ll fit in well.

Coaching philosophy

  • What you see is what you get.
  • No gimmicks. No fluff. No overpromising.
  • Just proper training, clear guidance, and honest coaching backed by years of real experience.

Your results will always come down to two things:

  • Your consistency
  • Your willingness to learn and apply what I teach

If you bring the effort, I’ll bring the expertise.

Are you ready? I know I am!

Whether your goal is fat loss, body re-composition, muscle gain, improved confidence, or simply overcoming that mental barrier of entering a gym, I am ready and waiting to work with you.
